This class is required to obtain Security Guard Registration. Instruction includes emphasis on the Penal Codes, roles & responsibilities of the security guard and weapons of mass destruction.

• Pepper Spray: 4 Hrs

  Includes Lifetime Certification
  Instruction includes the Penal Codes, carrying, usage, disbursement, effects, decontamination and storage of chemical agents OC/CN
  

• Loss Prevention:  4 Hrs

  This course will cover the basics on how/when you can make an arrest in a Loss Prevention atmosphere working as a Loss Prevention Agent or Asset Protection Agent.  This course will also cover ways that an agent can make “hands off” arrests as required by many larger retailers & also explain in detail the differences in “petty theft” vs. “burglary”, following up with suspect statement & going after the higher charge.

• Interviewing & Interrogations:  4 Hrs

  This course will give you the knowledge on how to perform an interview/interrogation in the retail environment, the basics of conducting the investigation. This form of Interview/Interrogation is widely accepted in the retail environment.
  

• Officer Safety:  4 Hrs

  An overview on various techniques which will assist the Officer on keeping him/herself safer while working.  The class will cover basics such as approaching vehicles & issues which may seem as simple as how to handle lunch and/or dinner breaks.
  

• Use of Force:  4 Hrs

  The student will be given instruction on the proper amounts of and types of force that can be legally justified when used in the field.  This course will also cover case laws that govern the use of force by officers.
  

• Intro to Executive Protection:  4 Hrs

  This class teaches the basic knowledge that one needs to get into the business of Executive Protection and become a personal protection specialist.  The student will develop an understanding of the basics on what is required to provide protection to a personal client.
  

• Terrorism and Racial Diversity:  8 Hrs

  Students will be given an overview of terrorism, its beginning, what are their primary issues and arguments and what to look for to help defend against terrorism in the security field.  The course will also cover issues dealing with racial profiling.
  

•  Firearms: 14 Hrs

  No Convicted Felons.

  Guard Registration & Firearms Permits issued by BSIS are required to carry an exposed firearm while on duty. Instruction includes Legal & Moral aspects, the use of a firearm, state mandated rules & regulations and weapon safety. 

•  Baton: 8 Hrs

  Includes BSIS Baton Permit
  Valid guard registration & Baton permit are required to carry a baton while on duty. Instruction includes the legal use of the baton & basic fundamentals of its usage.
  

•  Taser: 6 Hrs

  This course includes instruction in the proper use of the Taser weapon with scenario based training including the firing of live cartridges.
  

• School Security Guard: 24 Hrs

  Includes Certificate required per SB 1626.
  This course includes instruction on Role and responsibility of School Security Officers, laws and liability, security awareness in the educational environment, mediation/conflict resolution, disasters and emergencies and dynamics of student behavior.
  

• CPR & First Aid:  8 Hrs

  Emergency Medical Plan of America.
  Includes 2 year certification

Financial Assistance
We do not offer financial aid. However alternative funding resource may be available to qualified individuals. Approved for WIA, Vocational Rehab, and Veterans.If you are in need of funds for training please complete the school application and attend our school orientation. We also accept major credit cards or you may pay as you go.
