Below is a quick guide of what courses you will need to obtain
your California Guard Card:
REQUIREMENTS

Be at least 18 Years of age

Undergo a criminal history background clearance by the FBI & Dept. of Justice

Possess Current Picture Identification

Possess a Social Security Card
-
Possess Right to work in the USA
-
Have no prohibiting misdemeanors/ felonies
Powers to Arrest Modules A B & C
40 Hour Security Guard Training Requirement

When you successfully complete the course you will receive certificates of completion which satisfy the requirements of AB2880.
Module A (8 Hours: Completing these courses will allow you to get your initial guard card)
Module B (16 Hours: Must be completed within 30 days)

Communication & Its Significance: 4 Hours (Mandatory for Module B)

Public Relations: 4 Hours (Mandatory for Module B)

Module C (16 Hours Mandatory) - You can choose from the following list of courses.
